Musings on an empty nest

I went out to dinner tonight with a friend and her two year old daughter. I had a lovely time, but being around her sweet little girl made me miss my little girl. My daughter started college about a month ago. Yes, we are the proverbial empty nesters. I know it's a cliche, but it really does go so fast. But, it is so amazing to see our daughter spread her wings and learn to handle everything life throws at her by herself. Such a girl.

The question for me is, now that Mother is not at the top of my job decision, what is? What do I do now? She is not the only one embarking on a new life, I guess I am, too. But what that means remains to be seen.
